One Heart, One School
Funds raised through the Annual Fund One Heart, One School help enhance the educational experience for students by providing consistent year-to-year support for programs and activities not funded by the operating budget. These new resources will offer transformative experiences which shape and enrich the lives of our students.
Why We Need Your Support
This year, Southpointe’s One Heart, One School is raising funds to replace the Kindergarten and Grade 1 desks with collaborative tables to build community, promote communication and support the learning of students with identified learning needs.
The School is investigating ways to enhance many of the School’s common areas such as the Foyer and the Third Floor Commons.
Gifts to the fund will also support the Artist in Residence. This year’s artist is Jerry Whitehead from Peter Chapman First Nation and he will work with all ages at Southpointe. Mr. Whitehead obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Indian Art from the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax.
One Heart, One School funds will also be used to update the IT network and Emergency Preparedness.
