Welcome to Southpointe Athletics

Sport is an extremely important part of the overall student school experience and plays a vital role in health and wellbeing. It also plays a major role in developing character, confidence, leadership and the ability to work within a team. At Southpointe Academy, we understand this and prioritize sport alongside world-leading IB academics to offer the highest quality of student-athlete experience.

Our sports programs utilize the Jackson Carson Gymnasium, weight room facility, soccer fields, track and field facilities, and other venues to provide our students with the resources they need to excel inside ad outside of the classroom. Currently, we are in the development of a brand new 74,000-square-foot expansion campus that will complement our existing 80,000-square-foot building. The two buildings will work in concert with one another and be joined with a sky bridge, to offer innovative, cutting-edge training spaces including a brand new (second) gymnasium and weight room fully sourced with Rogue equipment.

Our school teams compete at various levels, leagues, and organizations, including the ISEA (Grades 3-7), GVISSA (Grades 8-12), DSSAA (Grades 8-12), SFAA (Grades 8-12), BC Provincials and other various leagues and organizations.

Early on in grades 3-7, we want to ensure student-athletes are developing the fundamental skills, passion, and enjoyment of sports and all it has to offer. While progressing skills and experiencing organized sport through middle and senior school, and ultimately becoming competitive at the JR (Grades 8-10) and SR (Grades 11-12) level. Our teams travel within Delta, South Fraser, the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and other Provincial regions.
